Engine Guard ”Expedition” for KTM 1390 Super Adventure S/R

The Touratech Expedition engine guard for the KTM 1390 Super Adventure provides robust protection for the engine and exhaust headers during demanding touring and off-road riding. Its three-dimensionally shaped design covers the entire critical underside, protecting vulnerable motorcycle components from stone impacts, loose rocks and obstacles on the trail.

The base plate is made from 4 mm-thick black anodised aluminium. It is precision laser-cut, CNC-bent and hand-welded. Multiple folded recesses and additional reinforcing ribs increase structural rigidity. A robust, multi-bolted support structure made from 3 mm-thick stainless steel distributes impact forces over as wide an area as possible and provides additional reinforcement.

The front section extends well upwards to provide improved protection for the engine block against stones thrown up from the ground. Integrated plastic sliding rails on the underside help the guard glide over stones, rocks and tree stumps. They also help reduce the build-up of dirt. Despite its robust construction, the engine guard does not compromise ground clearance.
