The Aventuro Gravel Carbon features a helmet shell made from advanced X-PRO Carbon. The high fibre content of this high-tech carbon fibre material – over 60 per cent – ensures a remarkable combination of low weight and maximum strength. You’ll notice it the moment you put it on: weighing around 1,350 grams (size L), the helmet feels noticeably light on your head. And that’s without compromising on safety. Three different shell sizes ensure that the thickness of the EPS liner is always in the ideal proportion to the helmet size – a detail you’ll appreciate on long stages.
A technical highlight of the Aventuro Gravel Carbon is the liner with the Anti-Vibration EPS System. A flexible rubber strip sits between the EPS layers, allowing for ultra-fine movements. This reduces turbulence-induced vibrations at higher speeds – the helmet remains stable at all times, which relieves strain on the neck muscles. The Aventuro Gravel Carbon is certified to the current European safety standard ECE 22.06 and to DOT standards.
THE VENTILATION SYSTEM: ALWAYS THE PERFECT AIRFLOW

The innovative chin section of the Aventuro Gravel Carbon allows for precise airflow control: Full flow at high temperatures while in cold weather, the cross-sectional area of the vent can be adjusted using a reducer. Additional fresh air enters via side openings in the cheek area. At the back of the head, warm air can escape through a generously sized opening – protected by an aerodynamically shaped air scoop that reliably keeps out the rain. Above the nape of the neck, a further vent supports perfect airflow. A system that impresses with its high effectiveness even in the scorching midday heat.
Sophisticated ventilation system: closable air inlets at the front with extra openings to ventilate the cheek pads in high temperatures. The generously sized exhaust vent at the back of the head is covered by an aerodynamically optimised vent cover. Additional exhaust vents in the nape area ensure maximum airflow.
INSIDE THE HELMET: COMFORT MEETS FUNCTIONALITY
Anyone who rides off-road knows that a helmet must not only protect but also work with the rider. The Aventuro Gravel Carbon features a range of clever details to achieve this. For the colder months, a nose and wind guard can be fitted, which seals the helmet opening right down to the neck. The result: less draught, less noise, greater concentration. The cheek pads are already designed for the seamless integration of a hydration system – a detail that’s worth its weight in gold on dusty desert stages.
The interior lining, made from innovative textile materials, is skin-friendly and ensures optimal ventilation.
For the fastening system, Touratech uses the X-Lock system made from Peraluman, a particularly lightweight, corrosion-resistant and high-strength aluminium alloy with a high magnesium content. The basic principle is the same as that of the double D-ring – which is particularly secure and mandatory in motor racing – but the strap is additionally secured with a magnetic fastener – simple, secure and flutter-free.
The interior of the Aventuro Gravel Carbon is not only designed for maximum comfort but also works in tandem with the sophisticated ventilation system. The 3D mesh material promotes optimal airflow right down to the wearer’s scalp. The particularly skin-friendly fabrics help to prevent skin irritation caused by dirt and sand on long, sweaty rides. Naturally, the interior lining can be easily removed for cleaning. Cleaning? No problem! The padding is, of course, washable.

One safety-related feature is the Emergency Quick Release function. Although many motorcyclists are still unsure about this, there is a consensus amongst emergency medical professionals: a motorcyclist involved in an accident must have their helmet removed. That is why the Aventuro Gravel Carbon is fitted with the Emergency Quick Release system for the cheek pads. A loop allows these components to be pulled down and out of the helmet very easily, so that even untrained first aiders can remove the helmet simply and gently. Stickers on the helmet shell clearly highlight this potentially life-saving feature.
