This Touratech Suspension set provides a +15mm lift and represents the absolute premium class of suspension technology. The Extreme2 shock absorber and Open Cartridge system are perfectly engineered for touring and riding involving frequent, significant changes in load and riding conditions, or for meeting extreme demands.


Simply put, the Open Cartridge acts as a shock absorber for the fork. It is installed directly into the original fork, meaning the triple clamps, handlebar mounts, brakes, wheel guidance, and steering geometry remain completely intact. No additional modifications to the fork are required. Like the shock, this cartridge is designed for touring and riding scenarios involving frequent, drastic changes in load and riding conditions, or for the most extreme requirements.


The Extreme2 shock absorber features the PDS2 system—a hydraulic bottoming-out protection mechanism utilizing a second damping piston. Even on the roughest tracks with a full load of luggage, the suspension does not bottom out, preventing mechanical overload. The damping is position-sensitive: for the majority of the ride, the shock is set for comfort and reduced rider fatigue, while the PDS system engages during the final stage of the suspension travel.


For you, this means the Extreme adjustment range easily accommodates any luggage configuration—from a simple tail bag to a fully loaded luggage system—as well as riding with a passenger. You can quickly and easily restore the motorcycle's balance using the handwheel to adjust the hydraulic spring preload. The highly adjustable damping on the remote reservoir allows for effective, precise suspension settings tailored to your personal riding style, road conditions, and intended use—whether on motorways, highways, narrow country roads, or off-road sections, or for long-distance touring with heavy luggage or a spirited, ambitious riding style.

The standard setup provided here is calibrated for riders weighing up to 100 kg, plus luggage. Adjustments for significantly heavier loads or other exceptional requirements are possible; in such cases, we will customize the shock absorber to your specific needs.
