New Boots - Grand Tour
With the Destino Touring GTX, the name says it all. Specially tailored to the requirements of touring riders, this waterproof motorbike boot combines functionality with maximum comfort.
Constant rain on the motorway, heat in the city, frosty temperatures at the end of the season - touring riders are confronted with a wide variety of weather situations throughout the year. As a consequence, the footwear for demanding frequent riders must be versatile. And then there is a whole bundle of other factors: A good touring boot must be safe, it must not turn a longer sightseeing tour on foot into torture and it must still be a companion you can be seen with, even after many years of continuous use.
Touratech's answer to this complex catalogue of requirements is the Destino Touring GTX. This new touring boot uses the Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane. This keeps the foot dry even in prolonged precipitation and at the same time has particularly strong breathability. Even at high outdoor temperatures, the microporous membrane ensures reliable water vapour transport to the outside.
Anatomically shaped Ortholite insoles form a comfortable footbed and support the feel-good climate in the boot through their breathability.
If a longer walk is on the cards, the Destino Touring GTX will delight you with its grippy outsole made of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA). This is characterised by excellent cushioning values and a very good rolling comfort. The accordion stretch inserts, which give the Destino Touring GTX a comfortable fit, also provide maximum wearing comfort.
But despite all the comfort – above all, a motorbike boot must be safe. And the Destino Touring GTX makes no concessions in this respect. A polypropylene midsole with integrated reinforcement keeps the foot from twisting. Heel and ankle shells not only provide support, but also protect the foot from external impact in combination with the robust toe cap. The Touring GTX has proven its high level of protection in the certification process according to the EN 13634-2017 Level 2 | 1 | 2 standard.
Numerous detailed solutions such as the integrated shift pad, the reflective inserts in the heel area, the generous cover of the zip or the loop that serves as a donning aid underline the high everyday suitability of the Destino Touring GTX.
With all these rational arguments, one should not forget that the Touring GTX also looks damn good with its innovative material mix of leather, Hypalon and rubber as well as the yellow accents.
