Touratech is expanding its extensive range of accessories for the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports with an ultra-robust stainless steel fairing crash bar. The protector, which has been completely redesigned with innovative features, reliably protects the radiator and fairing – and also serves as a basis for mounting accessories.
The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports is one of the most versatile large adventure bikes – with a focus on long-distance touring. But the large twin-cylinder engine also performs well on occasional trips on gravel roads. Whether on-road or off-road, the fairing and radiator are completely unprotected in the standard configuration. This is exactly where the Touratech fairing crash bars, completely redesigned for the latest model generation from 2024, come into play.
High-quality materials and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes
The protector is made of stainless steel tubes with solid dimensions of 25 x 2 mm. An additional cross tube measuring 18 x 2 mm connects the two halves of the crash bar and ensures outstanding rigidity.
Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art CNC bending machines, the design follows the silhouette of the vehicle in precise curves. The latest generation of welding robots enables seams that not only meet the highest standards in terms of strength, but also set the standard in terms of appearance.
The electropolished surface of the stainless steel tubes impresses with a silky gloss finish. Alternatively, a version with black powder coating is available.
The crash bar extensively covers the critical areas of the side fairing and tank, as well as the vulnerable radiator. In the event of a fall or collision with an obstacle, the structure absorbs most of the impact force and gently dissipates the remaining energy via the screw connection points into the frame, thus preventing damage to the vehicle.
Innovative tech plate for attaching accessories
The special feature of the Touratech fairing crash bar for the Adventure Sports is the newly developed Tech-Plate – a 3 mm strong plate made of black anodised aluminium with cleverly arranged slots for feeding straps through. It is screwed between the tubes and forms a solid mounting base to which bags, mounts for action cameras or other accessories can be attached.
