A robust solution to a familiar problem: the Touratech Front Carrier, made from milled aluminium, replaces the original front bracket on the BMW F 900 GS, which is undersized for serious off-road use – and even allows additional instruments to be mounted.
A gravel tour in the Western Alps, an Adventure Country Track (ACT) or a weekend on an off-road terrain – for riders who use their BMW F 900 GS intensively off-road or on long-distance trips, the stability of the cockpit is of crucial importance. A well-known weak point here is the original BMW headlight bracket: under high loads, it can break – sometimes with serious consequences. The entire front end then loses its support, cables can tear and instruments can be damaged. Even safety-related failures are not uncommon. Repairing it on the way is usually hardly possible.
Model-specific design, uncompromisingly rugged
The Touratech Front Carrier provides a solution, an out-of-the-box replacement for the original BMW front bracket, designed specifically for the BMW F 900 GS (from model year 2024 onwards). The CNC-milled aluminium construction is designed for maximum load-bearing capacity – without compromising on fit or compatibility.
The Front Carrier impresses with its intelligent combination of milled and sheet metal components, which ensures maximum torsional rigidity and strength. All original mounting points for the TFT display, windshield and fairing remain intact. Installation requires no additional modifications to the bodywork, and the use of fairing crash bars is also possible.
Despite its solid construction, the additional weight is minimal at only 426 grams compared to the original component – an intelligent compromise given the dramatically increased load capacity.
